Book Talk: My December Reading List

SO, I’m realizing that me providing good ol’ reading lists on my blog is becoming a thing—a good thing that I hope I can stay consistent with over time.

I hope you guys find these lists helpful if you want to read more but get stumped about where to start. I like to mix up genres so I figured no matter what you’re into, you’ll be able to find something you like on here. I successfully knocked out my fall TBR stack minus one (see below), and whew. I really really wish there were more hours in a day so I could have extended, uninterrupted reading time. So many books so little time.

But alas, here we are.

-Becoming by michelle obama

I got this book on the day it released and started reading it hours after purchase because I was sooo excited. I mean come on, it’s Michelle Obama. I ended up putting it down after page 50 because of the other two reads I was committed to at the time. Now that I’m finished those, I’m ready to get lost in this one again.

-family trust by kathy wang

This book is soooo good. This is Kathy Wang’s debut title and I must say, it’s a great piece of work. I’m almost done with this one but the story is getting good so of course, I don’t want it to end. Definitely add this one to your must read list.

-everything i never told you by celeste ng

I absolutely loooveddddd Little Fires Everywhere, so I decided to purchase yet another read by her. This story seems like it’ll be interesting so I’m excited to dive in.

-calypso by david sedaris

This one was on my Fall reading list but I didn’t have a chance to get to it. Here goes it again, Mr. Sedaris…

Make sure you’re following my book Instagram page so you can keep up with all my boozy bookish escapades. #bookstagram #itshellalit. HA. Get it? It’s hella LIT? Like literature? LOL. Man, I really crack myself up.
