Book Talk: What I'm Reading This Fall

Hey loves! Get ready to pull out those chunky sweaters and boots and sip the pumpkin spice lattes y’all love. Fall is back like it never left so y’all know what that means…….BOOKS. Lots and lots of books.

A couple of y’all might know that reading is one of my favorite things to do, so I figured I’d put together yet another reading list. A fall inspired reading list. I’m not sure what makes any of these books “fall-ish”, but I plan to read all (well most) of these this season so I guess that’s reason enough! My picks as of late have been a mix of self-help and fiction, but I wanted to explore other genres to close out the year. Also, here’s a little news: I went ahead and decided to make a book Instagram ("#BOOKSTAGRAM) to document all of my literary interests. Make sure to follow that account here if you’re book-obsessed or if you just need some book inspiration every now and then. I gotchu!

Now, on to the reason you came here. The reason you clicked this post…

-EXIT WEST BY MOHSIN HAMID: This is the one I’m currently reading. So far so good but I’ll be back soon with updates!

-TRAINING SCHOOL FOR NEGRO GIRLS BY CAMILLE ACKER

-LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE BY CELESTE NG

-CALYPSO BY DAVID SEDARIS: Y’all, last week I finished reading Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris and I loveedddd it. That book was a hilarious page-turner so I’m ready to read more work by him.

-WE AS FREEMEN: PLESSY V. FERGUSON BY KEITH WELDON MEDLEY: I actually met Mr. Medley at a wine tasting event I went to this past Friday. Though my TBR pile runneth over, I couldn’t pass up the chance to get a signed copy of this interesting read. Stay tuned for my thoughts on this one as well!

What are y’all reading this fall?!

peace and blessings,
